Wolves Dominate Greyhounds 9-4 in Final Pre-Season Game

The Sudbury Wolves wrapped up their pre-season in style, defeating the Soo Greyhounds 9-4 on Friday night at home. Despite fielding a lineup with only a few regulars—Chase Coughlan, Nick DeAngelis, and goalie Nate Krawchuk—the Wolves showcased a balanced attack and high energy, with eight different players finding the back of the net.

New trade acquisitions Gavin Ewles and Daks Klinkhammer joined a host of eager newcomers looking to make an impression. While this wasn’t the final roster for the Wolves, their effort and defensive focus were enough to propel them to victory.

Lucas Di Giantommaso led the scoring with two goals, while Rowan Henderson, Tayjon Street, Hudson Chitaroni, Nick DeAngelis, Chase Coughlan, Blake Clayton, and Ethan Dean each added a tally. The Wolves outshot the Greyhounds 42-15 and overcame a 1-0 deficit after the first period to dominate the rest of the game.

The Wolves now turn their attention to regular season play, starting at home next Friday against the Barrie Colts, followed by a trip to Sault Ste Marie to face the Greyhounds again next Saturday.
